Ok, so the job is in Trenton not Ottawa? Trenton smells, literally. I like Brighton, could also look at Cobourg, Sterling, Campbellford, Belleville. I believe that Belleville has an Indian restaurant!!!

Maybe I will report back after lunch... I tried his samosas at the farmers market and they were OK. Its never very busy so maybe it wont be there for long...
Its not much to look at... used to be the worst chippy in town, and its not exactly a high end fancy restaurant ambience... opposite McDs on Front St. If you are thinking of the "indian fusion" place that was at the Quinte Hotel its gone....the hotel burned down just before its grand reopening. Probably a blessing as the food was awful.
Trenton does smell, at least if the wind is coming from the wrong direction from the mill. Shame the mill stayed open, closing it would probably have done the local housing market a favour
Not sure that Brighton or Stirling have much of a thriving pubs or night life.

I forgot about the nightlife part. Is there nightlife in Ontario? Campbellford has a good music scene but crap restaurants. So Belleville it is then. I take recommendations from locals with a pinch of salt as everywhere is called awesome, even the motel/indian place on highway 7.
Its not good then?
Its certainly was a bit surreal, out there in the middle of nowhere!
I hear the stinking rose is OK, but that was from a fellow sax player who has some involvement with it via the church key brewery...

That's the one, between Havelock and Marmora.
