OK So despite no real inroads into Canada, the other half and I are going on a vacation/recce trip. Based on reading here, I will visit a few cities and try to make some cold call contacts if that works

Anyway we are going on a Vancouver - Calgary road trip as part of our vacation segment. OH likes camping and hiking and stuff.
And tentatively had marked down 3 weeks travels/camping between Van and Calg but looking at Tripadvisor, the longest times seem to be about 12 days...and then some additional time in the cities of Vancouver and Calgary.
Does anyone know if 3 weeks would be FAR too long just for these National Park areas? I know how long is a piece of string but as I have never been, I have nothing to gauge with, and the TA forums are usually pretty good. But BE is also
Thanks

Thanks AC.
With the job thing, do you (or anyone else) know if it is worth approaching employers on a field trip to CA?
With that much money that is envisaged to be spent, I would like a return

I would definitely use the time to network and approach potential employers. Where are you in the application process?

Oh! Alas, I am not even close
I missed the last two FSWs and am awaiting the 3rd, that is if it ever gets up again.
Because of all these misses, I am now hoping to get a job direct and hence...
So bascially "optimistLESS" or Nil..
Cheers

Surely the thread title should be optimis-toc (as, obviously, 'toc' is the opposite of 'tic').
