Hi all. Apologies if this is covered (did a non productive search already).

I'm nearing the end of my degree through the Open Uni and wondered how transferable the qualification (Business Studies BA Hons) is into Canada. Specifically if people have had issues with the degree being from the open uni so long distance learning style.

In case it helps I'm looking at BC as a destination. Not sure if the different provinces have different ways of verifying qualifications etc.

Any help is great!

I'm still finishing my degree at uni part time, I sent off my gcses and a levels as I'm hoping to start applying for work there in the summer.

Both my OU BSc and Masters were verified by WES in Toronto with no problems. OU sent transcripts direct to WES.

Thanks Northernlass1. Exactly what I was hoping for! I take it they ahve been accepted by employers without any hitches?

Bear in mind that they say they are only recognized in certain provinces, that link is for one in BC, don't know if its recognized elsewhere.

I've applied to IQAS in AB. It says its valid in AB, SK and Northwest Territories.

If you have your degree verified is it worth still having GCSE's and A-Levels done also? I'm not sure what the added value would be of these unless they were job specific.

It can't hurt to send them copies of everything.
