Hi guys, I am flying to Canada in Jan 2013 and I want to enquire about one way flights to Canada in regards to IEC.
Currently you gotta have $2500 in your account but do you need more if you only have a single ticket? Has anybody encountered any problems at customs due to this.
Regards

The $2500 figure is for the 1st 3 months in Canada though it could change.
Watch the IEC link for 2013 as there were changes from the 2011 Proof of funds in the 2012 applications.
http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca...w=d#ProofFunds
Under the 2012 initiative, applicants are no longer required to submit a Proof of Funds or Third Party Proof of Funds form with their application forms package. Applicants must now confirm on the IEC Application & Declarations Form by ticking the appropriate box on the Declaration form that you will have sufficient funds (at least C$2,500) in your bank account to support yourself financially upon your arrival in Canada.
On your arrival in Canada, you must have a statement from your bank account that must have been issued no more than one (1) week before your departure for Canada. It must clearly demonstrate you have sufficient funds in your account to support yourself financially for the first three months of your stay in Canada (C$2,500).
No return ticket is required as the TWP is for 12 months and you would be expected to have saved money for a return ticket if working.
