Hi all,
I'm v new to this but have been reading you avidly since last summer. Having spent four years in rural France and having children who are now bi-lingual we have decided to have another adventure across the water. Didn't want to return to the UK but wanted somewhere with the politeness of France but with a bit more going than here in rural Brittany. My husband spent part of March in Canada and had employment offers in Saskatoon (he is in haulage) but on a coin toss checked out Winnipeg. Although he thinks it's flat he thought it was a good choice and after meeting a rep from First Canadian Immigration Services, who operate for Bison we have submitted the first part of our application. He is applying under the Nominee Direct Stream and should have his application for Prov Nom submitted and approved prior to applying for an employment authorisation and once in Canada perm residency is submitted within 2 to 4 weeks as opposed to 2 to 3 months. Be grateful if anyone has gone through this process or knows of First Canadian to give a bit more background. Mucky buckets. So many questions. I'm sure I'll be a mither now I've logged on.

You'll find these pages packed with ripping yarns, tasty tidbits, and sordid stories of hair-pulling, nail-biting and rather too many references to bottoms.

Mucky Buckets? Isn't that Murky Buckets?
Delighted to have you on board.

Greetings and welcome to the best entertainment since nude trampolining was made legal.

You are more than welcome to our own little world.
There are some great people on here and then there are some nutters!
It's the great people you have to watch out for!
I wish you all the best for your journey ahead.

Hoe gaat het met jou? (That's the first bit of Dutch I know)
Welcome to the forum. Please feel free to ask any questions, there's bound to be someone in here who knows the answer.
Good luck.
Tot ziens! (that's the other bit of Dutch I know)

"oops up side yar ass" is a barely veiled steal from: I Don't Believe You Want To Get Up And Dance (Oops, Upside Your Head) released by The Gap Band in 1979.
"oops up side yar ass" is about as Scottish as Mel Gibsons bum.
So "get up off of that thing, dance and you'll feel better."
