Re: Okanagan
Let them all move there, every last one of them straight off the plane, fresh meat straight from YLW, like blind sheep shuffling slowly but unknowingly to the slaughterhouse.
Accompanied by the muffled sounds of Rod Stewart and Elton John, they'll fit in perfectly with the rest of the brochure-reading, realtor-adoring gossiping white-sunglassed sheeple. To be trapped in a maze forever by a sea of parked vehicles and boats and pizza delivery cars and RV's and camper trailers. Nothing to do but gaze hopelessly across the rooftops of the houses built three feet away from their very own. Oh, the horror, the horror....
Let 'em come

Re: Okanagan
We were visiting Kelowna and came by Peachland by accident and instantly fell in love with. It is ideally located between Kelowna and Penticton the downtown is set on the lake. In fact it is referred to as paradise by a lot of people that have moved here and it really feels it too. The bonus is the people are very friendly, unlike Kelowna. In fact we became suspicious of them when we first moved here because they are so friendly, but soon found out they were genuine and now after living hear a year have a much bigger circle of friends than we had in the UK. The downside is the job situation is terrible, in fact we would not be able to live here if it wasn't for the fact we sold our house in the UK. If you do not end up living here then it really is worth a visit in the summer. If you are thinking of coming then email us and we would certainly like to show you around.
Like to wish you good luck where ever you decide to settle

Yes, officially, 78% of the people in Kelowna are douchebags.
Peachland is nice, if you are 82 years old.
And it may be worthwhile adding that advice from people who have merely passed through or briefly visited a place is worthless.

Of course they are friendly. They either want to know your business, or viewing you as a newly arrived gullible cash cow, they think you have money they can easily prise from your overflowing wallet/bank account/credit card.

They will of course be devasted to know you hold them in such low regard.
