Hi,
Hope somebody can answer me a quick question.
I'm here on IEC currently putting application together for Common law PR.
I work full time so have OHIP Card. My son is a visitor who goes to elementary school but currently awaiting for an extension of his visitor visa/visitor record Can he get a OHIP card?
Thanks
Hannah

Yes, he could most likely get an OHIP card providing you have qualified for one yourself as having a TWP and working for a minimum of 6 months for an Ontario employer. Best thing to do is go into Service Canada and apply and see what they say. (Make sure to take your contract of employment, proof of working for 6 months, your OHIP card and your work permit and proof of residency).
From the same link given:
Who qualifies
To qualify for OHIP, you must meet all of the minimum qualifications listed below plus at least one of the additional requirements.
