the good news keeps coming today. we finally got the call and exchanged contracts this afternoon.

we have our leaving part on the 31st of October, handover the house on the 2nd of November and fly out to Ottawa on November 6th!

I'm so freaking happy right now!

yeah when we saw the date was free at the pub we had to book it haha

ours was on the market for about 2.5 months, viewings in the double figures but no offers, then we got two offers in the space of a day....all in it took us about 5-6 months.

LUCKILY ours all came back the same...I suppose look around and choose which one you feel most competitive with similar houses near you.

and GOOD LUCK

Trouble is there is nothing like this anywhere here its pretty unique and quirky, felt one agent was straight up really trustworthy ( if there is such a thing as an honest estate agent
but not sure about there marketing as they don't seem to have many large houses on there books, another was very sharp and felt he was deciding whether he should allow us on his books, had lots of larger homes and a major player much higher costs of course,

the other couldn't decide on the value and will bring someone else back to get a second opinion ?

if they don't know how am i supposed to ?

we went with the one who had the biggest client list...it's maybe worth paying more if they know how to move it quickly?

So please wish us luck with the negotiations, this is the 1st house I've ever tried selling and crap is is stressful

We've also got more viewings booked in, which says to me we're still priced well...and we're expecting another offer to come in from a guy who had a second viewing on Saturday.
Good luck!

It's never easy selling a house, but with all the stress/hassle/excitement of emigrating it's made even worse!

All the best from us both in the sunny north west (of England for now!)
