Any more good news stories with house sales. I am trying desperately to sell mine in Leeds.

me too Ruby, we had an offer fall through last week. we're getting viewings, but it's slowing down if anything. we had about 8 in the first couple of weeks and only a couple since then.

Interesting looking at the date of this initial thread. This was two months ago eek.
Well, I have mentioned this elsewhere but its worth tying up this thread with the end to the story. After two months of surveys, quotes, price adjustments and general go-slow from our buyer we have just exchanged and so now its a done deal.
The market did turn there for a while but I don't know if we are in recovery mode yet. Having said that we are now starting to see reported increases in retail sales so I think that we are nearly there. My guess is that next year we will be on the upward curve of recovery.
The sister is law is an estate agent near Manchester and she is reporting a lot of movement in the market up there so the signs are also there that the initial surge is spreading out from London to the rest of the country.
For me I have 20 days left. I booked my ticked the moment I had agreed the completion date and fly out on the 22nd. Time to re-join the wife and start our new lives together out there.
Also to tie up other threads I have had. The misses got us a townhouse near to Granville Island (I love that area) and so we are all set.
Anyway, this is turning to a bit of a babble so good luck to you all in selling your houses and moving the process forwards
