Congrats on the lovely house - nice area too.

Thanks for all the concern folks - still here, bump in place. One day overdue Poppy - how much would you charge to perform a private c-section?

I would charge very little......as I dont believe in making money whilst practicing on people!!!!!

Hey, I am working tomorrow,Sunday and Monday, 7am-7pm...........come in and have a baby with me. lets face it, its only me who really understands who I would be looking after - the 1st Lady! Do you need some dodgey/sage advice about how to start labour? If so feel free to pm me

Well my advice is eat lots and often because as soon as you are in labour we stop you eating, so get loaded up girl!! I hope you come in this weekend!!!

Hey, thanks. I'm working on the eating, jumping up and down, pacing around the basement (cos it's boiling outside).

I've seen so many birthing shows where they break the women's water to get stuff going - I'm soooo tempted to buy a crochet hook

(apologies to any blokes on here who really don't want to read about babies and fluids )

I've just come into the end of this thread, and must admit not read it all.

But, try to avoid being induced if you can, the wife was induced 3 times, and had naturally once, the natural was almost pain free compared to the induced births.

The induced ones were painful for me too, as she bit me twice, and repeatedly crushed my hand during labour.

This is not what a woman a couple of days overdue wants to hear. Can't you give her some anecdotal evidence of overdue births being easier?
