Has anybody successfully used a Canadian phone number as 2 factor authentication on an NS&I account? Apparently on the NS&I system, all phone numbers must start with a zero, even those with a +1 country code, which means the verification call/text fails. Anyone else had the issue? I spoke with a couple of people (30 mins on the line and a big fat phone bill coming my way) and they were unable to fix it.

I'm sure they sent a spoken code to my Canadian landline for 2FA. Actually I do have a UK SIM in my dual SIM phone but the landline was the number on file with them. So similar to British Columbian's experience above.
