Coming over to Vancouver Isaland in August for a month reccie.

Principally interested in Victoria and the penninsula neighbourhoods / communities and in Cowichan Valley communities but I'm thinking that whislt there we should really make the effort to look further afield.

Plannning to hire RV for a week or so ... are there any other places we should be looking (as potential places to live / work) north of Nanaimo i.e. Parksville, Campbell River, Qualicum Beach or Comox????

I'm all up for having a proper look around but eqaully I've got to be honest that my wife will kill me if we end up living in the 'middle of no-where' ... and she's Canadian

I'd go with Courtenay/Comox. Its kind of in the middle of somewhere. Good too if you like to ski. Decent population. Not far from either Naniamo or Campbell River.
