Default No support groups for those in limbo

Denis Codere, the Immigration Minister for Canada, doesn't have a clue what applicants in the Immigration process are going through!

I phoned his office after facing incredible delays with my own application for Perm Res and was told that they had no idea that Vegreville had stopped processing applications...

They aren't doing ANY work right now, while applicants are stuck in limbo! As a Brit, and thus member of the Commonwealth, I have found my treatment, through the whole thing, terrible.

The lady who answered the phone at the Immigration Minister's office in Ottawa told me that there was nothing that could be done. I should just be patient.

I have currently waited over 180 days! So I asked whether there was a Support Group in place to help ease these stressful times for me and my family. She said, and I quote, "No, why don't you make one?"

So I did!

Not only does your link doesn't work, but also I have trouble trusting
someone who posts using an anonymous address and is not ready to
provide his/her name.

Hi Terry and everyone at Brit Expats,

Sorry there were probs with the link - but I hope that those of you who found the site, were glad that they did

My user name may be anonymous 'Wannaimmigrate' but I am not - I'm Den Daigle, originally from Bristol, UK. Nothing sneaky intended, honest! I will sign off properly from my posts in future...

I am truly a Perm Res applicant, in Canada, stuck in the system somewhere. Hopefully not for much longer...

Cheers,
Den
