Trouble is that not all meds are covered by SA- in BC, they recently delisted several really good drugs I prescribe, 2 great ones for tricky to control BP.

As I said previously, I initially ask if they have benefits before prescribing certain costlier meds- not much use then if they change the effing goalposts - again, fine if the patients have benefits, if not then yet again I struggle to control their BP on cheaper meds which they more than likely were on but were changed onto the more potent drugs in the first place.

It could certainly do with tweaking.
One thing that used to crop up here is the delay between when a generic becomes available for use and when it's approved. I've not seen it mentioned for a while though, so maybe they improved on it.
