We got off onto a bad footing on other threads.
Sounds like we have an interest in common though....I am planning to head for the Okanagan, where R I C H now resides. Beautiful place, great climate, the 'lakes and mountains' you're looking for. I was out on a reccie earlier this year in fact.

Oh and you haven't said what your significant other does, or where you are based in the UK?

Hello Saskia thank you yes it does look a beautiful place. My other half works for the fire service in N Yorkshire and is very much looking forward to the move. When are you planning on moving

Gosh the fire service in NYorkshire. I love the Yorkshire accent, whereabouts are you? I have friends in Leeds and Harrogate.
My move is fluid due to a variety of factors. Are you thinking of going for a reccie? If so, let me know and I'll do my best to help out - as indeed will many others on the site who have far more experience than I do.
