New Brunswick

OK, plans have changed and I am now looking at buying somewhere in New Brunswick, probably near the US border around Woodstock or Grand Falls. Anyone live near there can tell me what it is like?

Grand Falls is a bilingual town and is about an hour north of Woodstock. I think that the town economy is suffering a bit with respect to the local mill. Woodstock is English and trucking and farming are big. The I95 from Maine and the TCH intersect at Woodstock so it is very convenient for trucking. Both towns are about the same size (5-6 thousand).

I live in Woodstock. It is a really nice place and only 10mins to the border, and 1 hour from the capital, Fredericton. Check out my Blog which has loads of pictures of Woodstock. www.driverdaves.blogspot.com and Woodstock has their own website www.town.woodstock.nb.ca there you will find a video and allsorts. Hope that helps
