Hey guys,
Just need some advice please, I’m in the UK at the moment in a ‘9-5’ as an accountant and want a relocation from UK to Canada. I loved Toronto when I have visited but need some ideas to travel and view before making the big leap ? Any ideals for medium/small towns in that region? Any other suggestions are welcome. I don’t know about you guys but I need a fresh new start so any help would be great! Thanks Danielle x

Today I was in Guelph, there was a climate change protest, lots of people on bicycles, parked Priuses. If you are a vegan you could look there. I was also in Orangeville, picking up a curry opposite a bar that was, until recently, called the Wee Sporran. Orangeville is rather less gung-ho the Guelph but it's not poor "No Horse Blankets" it says on every window of every laundrette.
What do you want from your town near Toronto? And why not just move to Toronto proper?

Orangeville is a lovely little town but not sure if at age 25 you would find there's enough going on. Also to get a good job you'd be looking at quite a commute. I live in Hamilton and although some people will call it the armpit of Ontario (such as the gentleman above lol) it's very up and coming and has a buzz about it. The architecture is very similar to Toronto unlike the huge suburban sprawls of Mississauga, Brampton etc.
It's a good place to live for us certainly. The added bonus is you often see film crews around town as so many films that Toronto takes credit for are actually made in Hamilton...
