This site still is informative, but not everyone wants to know the nitty gritty about processes and procedures, some people like to tell us how their life is going in Canada, good and bad.
Is a bit like being at school, you learn and you socialise.
Mind you, I bet you were one of those kids who used to study at break time when everyone else was out having fun eh?

You know what? There is nothing in the "rules" that says this web-site has to be informative. It's an expats site. Sort of like a social group thing. (Maybe this thread should be in Maple Leaf rather than "Lifestyle", but what the hey!)
People can and do post information that may prove useful to others who are considering making the move, and other posts are more about giving moral support to eachother, or sharing good news and bad.
No information here is necessarily "absolute truth", just people sharing their own experiences and opinions which are very individual. If you've found out something that will save somebody else the time and effort of finding out for themselves, then it's OK to share it, but not obligatory by any means.
Lastly, nobody is forcing you to read this "drivel" nor to reply to it! If you don't like it there's an obvious answer. B'bye!
