Has Bigfreight obtained an LMO for you? What kind of job is it? Which Province?

J.Pitblado does not appear to be a Registered Immigration Consultant, as such he could not represent you for Immigration purposes, though he could advise you on how to obtain a TWP.

Most 'proper' Immigration Consultants would give you an overview for free. Have they told you what this overview is for?

Has Bigfreight obtained an LMO for you? What kind of job is it? Which Province? Have they suggested any particular visa or route to PR?

I would suggest you read the wiki about TWP's: http://britishexpats.com/wiki/Tempor...Permits-Canada

I would also suggest looking at the trucking forum on BE: http://britishexpats.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=118

It would appear from another website they are linked to that they have a member of staff who is a barrister in good standing with the Law Society (presumably, but check) and who could therefore represent you legally, so apologies for not checking that before I gave my previous response.

If you put in a google search for Pitblado Law Immigration Group you can get 1) their official 'Immigration' website and 2) you should be able to find reviews online about them.

I don't know what to advise, but $150 for 30 minutes or part thereof (so 32 minutes = $300 presumably) seems a lot of money to see if you qualify.

Try using the tool on the CIC website to see if you qualify before paying mega bucks to an Immigration Consultant: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/newcome...k/wic-tool.asp

Edited to say, if they are talking about you obtaining PNP nomination on the semi-skilled stream (long haul trucking) you can see more about it here: http://www.welcomebc.ca/Immigrate/im...-Trucking.aspx and http://www.albertacanada.com/immigra....aspx#trucking There is also a very good wiki article on trucking in Canada here: http://britishexpats.com/wiki/Truck_Driving_in_Canada
