Need A Job Now!
The only thing worrying me about whole emigration thang is getting jobs.
I'm sure we wont have too much trouble but its the uncertainty at this stage as you sell up and leave everything secure behind that doubts set in.........
Are others here in the same boat - with no jobs to go to?

Were in the same situation up to a point with not having jobs but are of the opinion that we have been given a once in a lifetime oppurtunity and will make it work any way we can if we cant find any jobs then we will work for ourselves the idea is becoming more appealing as it means we can spend more time together
Just go with it it will work out

I`m either on a major high or a `crapping my pants` low, there doesn`t seem to be any half measures.
I agree with Eastbound that this is a once in a lifetime opportunity and we are prepared to just go along with it.
See how it all pans out and if you`re not happy in a couple of months then change the situation.
One we have learnt is that the less plans you have, the less things there are to go wrong, reckless maybe, but works for us.

Crapping our pants we may have to go to Canada without UK house being sold which is a major headache. The more plans the more to go wrong! :scared:

We haven't sold ours either and we are leaving it on until the end of October in the hopes it will, then we're renting it out and going to put it back on the market in Feb - bloody pain in the arse tho!!

If it were just the two of us (i.e. no kids) we would have gone without a job to go to without hesitation. As it is, with kids we made the decision not to risk the additional uncertainty and stress of going on PR without a job (plus without a job we would still have another 2 years to wait). There is enough uncertainty and stress to deal with, even having a job to go to :scared:
But that is our personal choice and circumstances. I wish you luck with yours

There is a saying and it works for us:
LIVE FOR TODAY AND NOT FOR TOMORROW AS TOMORROW IS ANOTHER DAY.
When did i become so bloody philosophical?
