Hi,
I sent in my Canadian immigration application in Jan 2002 and received my application number end of April 2002.
My credentials
Education: BS, but will have an MS by July 2002
Work Experience: 4-1/2 years
Age: 26
Language: Fluent in English
All others do not qualify for points.
With just a BS degree can you tell me how many points I will have as per the new system since I cannot figure out the points with just a BS.
I was able to figure out, ss per the new rules that I will have 72 points including points for the MS degree. Now, how can I update my application to reflect my MS degree.
Inspite of the MS degree, I do not make it to the pass mark of 75 points. Is there anyway to make that mark, or will my application be rejected for sure?
Can you please help me with that?
Thanks
Manav

Your application will be assessed as it was received, that means only with Bachelor
degree. If you calculated your points correctly then without Master degree you have
only 67 points - well below the pass mark. Will your case be refused? Most likely,
unless processing officer decides (with the concurrence of second officer) that the
number of points awarded is not a sufficient indicator of whether you may become
economically established in Canada. Don't count on it, though...
You should seek professional assistance to help you decide what your next course of
action should be. Without knowing all details of your case and how application
package was prepared I can't tell you what to do, although you should probably
consider withdrawing your application for now and preparing a new one with
professional assistance after you get your Master degree and your overall score
improves. It may save you a lot of time - depending from the visa post your
application is submitted to you may wait well over year or two just for the refusal.
