Hi Fellow and non Fellow Brits,

I'm flying into Toronto on June 11th which is only 9 days from now. I'm going to be in Toronto for 6 months as i am doing an Internship there. Naturally as a result my budget is low. I'm looking for a place to live for the 6 month period preferably somwhere near downtown, possibly little portugal. My budget for monthly rent is $800 which isnt much but i would no doubt be living in a house share. I have looked at Kijiji, craigslist and padmapper but seem to be getting little or no response yet.

If there anything more i can do here please advise.

When i fly in i need to find a place to stay whilst i'm looking for a residence. Again on a low budget here. Does Toronto have anything like a Travelodge that i can stay in that only costs £30 quid a night or maybe 40.

When i fly in i dont need to be near downtown just within a 30 minute train ride.

Thanks Former Lancastrian. I got a good deal with the Holiday Inn through tripadvisor near the airport so i'm not shattered when i get there.

Still looking for a more permanent residence whilst out there for 6 months
