Default Any problem bringing in sheepskin rugs?

Hi - I'd appreciate some insight on this. We've 4-5 sheepskin rugs that we have on our sofas plus another 4-5 that I picked up along the way that I wanted to bring home as gifts for friends. Will there be any problem bringing these through in our container shipment of personal effects coming into Canada? I wouldn't class any of them as knew and they're fully cured etc. Thanks in advance.

It's great that search engine is there but it isn't very easy to get answers out of (trying to view a category is like pulling teeth, have managed to view 1 out of 5 I've repeatedly tried)! Will keep at it.

Should be fine. Some friends gave me a sheepskin rug in the UK. I stuck it in an extra suitcase and had no problem getting it into Canada. Also brought a panda sheepskin from New Zealand without a hitch.

I'd be more worried about the fashion police than border guards

You are so right about the fashion police. I actually did wear one sheepskin rug and won first prize in a fancy dress competition as Boadicea, The First Scottish Nationalist. I have not, however, used it in the same way since, as I cannot find suitable accessories to complement it to meet the dress code requirements of the Canadian business environment. However, I hate to see it fail to live up to its full potential so do you have any suggestions? A bear claw pendant perhaps, or even something a bit more modern like Elquturd jewellery?
