Well this is a news flash............NS is now going to charge an entrance fee to all coming over soon!!!

Oh then they are going to change the name of Fall River to New Britian just for the new immigrants.

Well that was fun...........just joking of course....just so many coming to NS...
Any one coming to the south shore?

5 parrots....how interesting? How do they travel. It seems along way on a plane for them. What a lovely time of year to be moving to the Valley, you may catch the Apple Blossom Festival if you are early enough but if not the blossoms will still be on the trees so it will be nice to see. Where abouts are you going?

No. I should try Nunavut if I were you. Not so populated

Hey,
i like open spaces were you can walk for hours without meeting anyone
But Nunavut ? By the looks of it you could walk for months and not meet anyone
It is the size of Western Europe with an pop of about 29,474,plenty of room for the free spirited
No thanks i will stick with the densley populated Atlantic Provinces

Corky,
The parrots are all travelling cargo - nightmare to sort out their paperwork, we were easy to get visa's for in comparison!
We are over beginning of May to have our house passed for quarantine, then we land 26th June. I CAN'T WAIT !!!!
Perhaps we will have to all have a meet up in a few months, we'll have to hire out a hall at this rate

I think it would be a nightmare for the poor parrots in cargo. lets hope there are no dogs and cats down there with them.

I thought of that already - they only allow five animals on any one flight, and my five parrots have taken up the full consignement. So just themselves for company ..I wanted to bring them by ship as it would have been less stressful for us all, but by law they have to arrive with us, and by plane. Doh! But their carriers are specially designed with perches, and have a fabric covering over the front so they think it is night and are drowsy. So no more or less stressful than bringing any animal in cargo, I would think?
Worried sick, but a big reason we are making the move is to give them more space and freedom, and some outside space, as well as a bit of life for us!
re the house - a vet is coming to inspect our house and pass it as a suitable place for us to quarantine our parrots at home. If we would have been split up from them for months, we wouldn't have moved. Real child substitutes lol
And they talk a storm, so I'm sure they'll tell me all about it when we arrive

This is really going to be an interesting journey for them. I think they will be alright as long as they think it is just along sleep....That will be achange from dogs and cats for the customs officers. Are they on the same flight as you and arrive the same time?
