Sorry to but in on your thread, Firstly Hi all, I am a qulified electrician from the north of england, I am out next week on a fact finding mission. I am validating my PR visa and staying fo two weeks then heading back to blighty. If the feelings are right for me then I will be back in late august early sept to find work and a place to live, someone suggested the island, any thoughts on life on the island compaired to the mainland around Vancouver, also job opportunities for a english qualified electrician with 16 years experience in residencial and commercial electrics..
Hope you don't feel like I am intruding on your thread, just thought it would be easier to get a response from a similar question..
Thanks Mark

Hi, just thought I'd post this site as there are quite a few peeps heading here for recce trips ......... it has info special events but also links to the local papers & the 'city of Nanaimo' website if you're job hunting
(Funny to think of Nanaimo as 'cultural' tho!!
