If you want to keep circling around, go ahead. I don't have time for that. Read my posts again if you feel like.

What does paying tax have to do with that? Think you are talking out of your muffler.

People are concerned and ask questions, not necessarily because they're odd people, but because they heard and read about dealers selling flood cars:
Flood cars would most likely not be from BC, so they would need a federal or provincial inspection, or both to be first registered in BC, by ICBC. This would then be on the record and therefore any buyer would be aware of that posibility. If was a BC vehicle, ICBC would have a record of the claim for flood damage. cheers Jery |

Flood cars can be one or more owners, even new cars from a flooded dealership. The number of owners makes no difference to the risk. Or you could end up buying a stolen car, one with forged documents, one from a chop shop, or if paranoid, just buy a new car.
Likewise, chop shop cars need an inspection before re-sale/registering, ICBC keep a history. Stolen or forged documents can just be checked before buying. cheers Jerry |

Hi,
We're moving back to England in a few weeks and need to sell our car. We have a Chrysler PT Cruiser 2002 with low KMs. Can anyone recommend a car dealer who buys older cars without trade ins? We are in North Van. Many thanks Nicky |
Re: Moving back to UK - advice on selling car please!
We actually bought it from an acquaintance and we have only been advertising it for 5 days so we'll see what happens! Thanks for all the input

I have a better idea than a dealer. Why not find an internet site that people who might be be moving to Canada soon read. If you post your advert in the form of a question asking for information you won't even need t pay for it.
Not that anyone looks at them AFAIK, but you could post a link to the add as a sig file. |
