Possibly because they may come under exemptions

Can you imagine The Guardian headlines if Boris Johnson had only vaccinated 1.3m people? Britain has vaccinated more people in 3 days than Canada has since Mid-December.

Why does nobody oppose Trudeau?
Perhaps you should change your news sources?
CBC. GlobalNews. CTV news. Lots of criticism there.

On the vaccine front, perhaps people recognise that if vaccines are not delivered as agreed then it's not the (non) recipient's fault.

It's just the way Canadian media operates you wont see the UK style headlines and attacks typically in Canada.

However I have seen articles critical of the government, sure maybe not to UK level but this isn't the UK and Canadian media simply is different.

JT isn't a politician I like, he drives me bonkers, reminds me of a slimy used car salesman. Says what he think people want to hear.

His popularity has dropped a bit, and Canadians are not happy with his vaccine rollout and the issues based on a recent poll that was done.

Do you mean this poll reported by GlobalNews?
Canadians are angry about vaccine delays. It’s hurting Trudeau’s poll numbers: Ipsos

Or maybe it's a good example of why you can't always just buy your way out of a problem.

You can't really calculate the costs in advance and the options are limited. There are only a few in Toronto and a measly one in Vancouver. The Pearson Airport Holiday Inn averages around $250-300 per night usually but I wouldn't be surprised if a premium was being added for these bookings. It seems extraordinarily dodgy how they have "partnered" with AMEX to provide this service as well.

I was speaking with someone in Singapore last week who had already been waiting in a queue for an hour and a half on that booking phone number.

I don't think it's going to happen any time this year. The government is far too comfortable with the current regulation, any changes to that would hurt their pride. And then there is also public opinion to consider, after all it's politics which decides over science, even though it's always mentioned the other way around....

I would also be so frugal not even ask for any sort of date, but more for either some other form of underlying data, like an infection level, a death rate, any kind of incidence rate as a prerequisite for any quarantine requirements to be lifted. At this point we don't even know this one.

Cyprus leads the way and welcomes those with vaccines from May. Hopefully JT will rethink things and follow suit.

JT hasn't made anything resembling a logical decision when it comes to travel restrictions, pandemic management or vaccine rollout except for CERB and EI so I wouldn't have my hopes up

At least we don't live in Point Roberts, Washington. They are dying economically big time.
