Just wondering if anyone here lives in or has lived in a mobile home, and advice would be appreciated :0
we are thinking of buying for our first home at least to settle into area without the overhead of a big mortgage, and not wasting money on rent for 3-6mths etc Cheers Gaz |

Re: Mobile Homes!!
For the most part, if situated in a Trailer Park, you probably would not own the land and have to pay rent. Otherwise you would require to buy land and place it there, assuming the municipality so permits. That could also require digging a well, installing septic tank and paying for hydro to be connected.
Many people who live in trailers are known, derogatorily, as Trailer Trash. |

Im on Realtor.ca which i assume is the biggest property website that all the agents use, it gives you the option to search "building type" i select mobile homes and theres thousands of em?
Gaz We use them for our employee accommodation and they work fine. A new one is not that inexpensive though for what it is. Often when you buy one, you usually don't own the pad, you have to pay a pad rent. |

Whatever you wish, what do we know, we only live here. Trailer is a slang, as is double wide and single wide used in common language. I have never heard a reference to a mobile other than on that site and I doubt anyone in conversation other than a Realtor would have a clue what you are talking about.

A trailer would suit Gaz perfectly - as a Scouser he's probably used to things being raised on bricks ;)
