Default Medicals and Visa expiry time?

Hi All,
We initially had our medicals on the 28th September 2009 and were asked to provide further medical assessment of our sons. these were carried out today 21/01/10.

Now, the big question, should we be successful, would our visa be valid to the 27 September 2010 or the 20 January 2011.

Hope some one knows

Regards

Sean
