My wife and I are at the start of applying for PR. As we are both on the large side, would that be a problem when the time comes for a medical ? In all other respects we are healthy, just have a high BMI.
Is it time to start slimming ?

If you are "morbidly obese" (BMI > 39 I think it is), then you'd be wise to do something about it anyway, regardless of whether or not you are considering emigrating. Do yourselves a favour.
If you are not and you are otherwise healthy then you will likely have no trouble getting into Canada anyway. There are lots of large people here .... we turn them away on a regular basis from the joint replacement clinic as their poor knees just don't stand a chance!

I planned on that, but never did. They let this deaf fatty in. BP and blood was fine so here I am.
