Marriage: Here or There

Hello to all,
My fiancee and I are planning on getting married next summer. However, we are still debating where we should tie the knot. I am a Canadian citizen and she is a British citizen. We would like to get married and settle in Canada. Does it make any difference where the ceremony takes place? If we were to be married in England and then move to Canada, is it possible that it would cause some delay when applying for her residency here? Would the application process be quicker if the legal marriage papers where Canadian or does it not affect the timeline? Keep in mind that we will be applying from Montreal.
Thanks for your time!

Where you marry would make no difference to the speed of processing of her
immigration application. Canada allows spouses to apply from within Canada and that
might be your best bet. Jim Humphries

Best bet is to bring her to Canada as a tourist, marry her in Canada and then
apply to change her status. Same in the USA.
