Re: Looking for info on London, Ontario
OP might be interested in the video made by a NY filmmaker during his recent visit to London, ON very early in the current Covid19 crisis. Some lovely footage.

Really beautiful videos, people! Thanks for sharing. It does help to get a "feel" of the towns, which is hard to get by just reading about them.
Brantford is not a bad idea, hadn't considered that. Or Hamilton suburbs maybe as said earlier in this thread. I worry about the high cost of commuting in general (car insurance being crazy expensive apparently) Jobs-wise it would be a good option. The presence of hospitals is a big plus since she is just now starting a new job in clinical trial research. A lot of those jobs seem to be in: Toronto, Ottawa, Hamilton when it comes to Ontario. Some in London. Guelph might be good for her to find a job but not as much for me I'm afraid.
We'll be renting the first years, not buying yet! Thanks for the offer. It seems wise to wait and see which area we like the most to live in long-term. It also depends on where my wife and I end up finding stable jobs. It might take a while to settle down permanently.
