When you're born and bred in a town called Goole (pronounced Ghoul), live next to the River Ouse (pronounced Ooze) on one side and a cemetery on the other, just down the road from a village name Hook, you learn to see humour.

Following on from Butch's sphincter naming, this place would be the actually toilet in which the "sewage" is dumped

Oh, and Toronto is rubbish

Mmmmmm, I'd say Oakville is very much not Toronto. Once you go beyond Lake/Bloor/Parliament/Bathurst it's all pretty suburban. Once you're beyond the 427/401/DVP/Lake it's either sprawl or former small towns now submersed, admittedly with some residual quaint bits. I thought we were way into the 'burbs when we moved out to the Beach.

No one said it was walking distance but still it's classified as the GTA

It is perfectly fine and normal to hate Toronto, millions of Canadians do.

Why do people hate Toronto so much? What are your reasons?

As a family who are taking a recce in Oct to toronto and the GTA area (including Oakville ) I am completely reserving judgement as to whether or not it "Sucks".

It seems to me that people just like to join on the bandwagon.
