London (UK) or Toronto to live in?
I'm having a real hard time deciding on which one is the best place to move to and settle down. I live 2 hours drive from London. Please let me know your opinions.
Thanks.
Thanks.

If you want any kind of useful perspective it would probably help if you told us a bit about yourself and what you are looking for. Plus if you dont qualify under one of the Canadian immigrant streams then its a moot point anyway.
Personally I wouldn't particularly want to live in either...

Hello, thanks for your reply.
Im 27, no commitments, working in Web Development, I have some family in Toronto. My immediate family are in UK. I just generally wanted to know which place people would prefer to live in.
Where do you live and where would you like to live?

I live about 2 hrs east of Toronto, and have absolutely no intention to go anywhere else. I'm quite happy where I am and with what I have here. Contentment is a nice feeling
Cheap property, relaxed lifestyle, enough facilities and activities to keep me busy, nice scenary and Toronto and Ottawa close enough for visits now and then when I feel the need for city life, but far enough away that I dont have to deal with the crap that goes with city life.
Everyones needs are unique though, living here would probably drive someone who craves a cities nightlife or cultural variety a bit nuts.
As cities London and Toronto have a lot of parallels I think, so how do you feel about 4 months of sub zero temperatures. I like that variety (didnt know that I would when I came here), but other people probably think that I'm nuts for preferring a swing from -30 to +30 over the seasons to a more uniform greyness.
I still have no idea what you are looking for, and what other people think is largely irrelevant to what you need to find for yourself.

Can't stand London, absolutely love Toronto. But that's just my opinion.

You probably won't find the balance you want here. People are going to either prefer Toronto, or dislike both (with maybe a few exceptions).

If you're going to go for a large sprawling city, you may as well choose London. It's sort of the be all, end all of large, crowded cities. If you're going to live that lifestyle, go all the way.

I personally feel that Canada's not about large sprawling cities and congested motorways and industrial sites and what have you - it's about landscape, nature, and being able to escape from the hustle and bustle. If you're already in London, stay put in London. It's a big, exciting city and relatively easy to escape.
Toronto's a lot harder to escape from because distances are further and flights are more expensive. The weather's crappier too.
If you're going to move to Canada from London, I don't know if I'd necessarily choose Toronto.

I agree. I'm not a fan of either but given the choice it'd be London all the way for me. Good night life, great restaurants, brilliant hub for the rest of the world, milder winters, great summers, great history, great architecture...........Still don't like the place though

Thanks for your replies.
I know the bad points about London because I have been there many times and live 2 hours drive from it.
It is over crowded, most of it is ugly in appearance, its cramped, everything is small (housing, roads, shops), it is ridiculously expensive, for the money I spend in London on property, I could get a much bigger nicer house in Canada, England has a lot of racism, the people are snobby and unfriendly, the traffic is sooooo bad, I was stuck in traffic for most of the day that I was there! Jobs are really hard to get here to as there are so many people applying to London.
Surely Toronto or Vancouver must be better than this right?
I know that a lot of Americans may say London because they have something against Canada and canadians.
