good day, everyone! i am looking for a suitable mortgage/loan in order to purchase a small property in toronto, but at the moment i can only find one bank that can do it, but at a huge 35% downpayment!! this, they say, is cos i am a non-resident (i am british). however, i was told by several sources that better deals are available, offering even as low as 10 to 15% downpayments for non-residents in canada, which sounds very much better. i do have a non-residents savings/cheque account with a canadian bank, if that helps at all. my intention is to emigrate to canada in the future also and am hoping that a purchase now will help me get a foothold in the property market there. can anyone help, please? many thanks for your time.
