We are actually heading for Prince George, we've got relatives there.
But we intend to stay somewhere in the country surrounding PG.
Thanks for all the replies, we'll probably book the later flight, but it does make it a helluva long day!

Hi Kenny

Book on the later flight and then if all goes really quickly with the Landing then approach your connecting airline to see if they can transfer you onto the earlier flight.

Have done this before with a Calgary to Lethbridge connection - Canadians are really accommodating.

and which airline do you book? i'm not quite sure if pacific coastal also serves prince george - but they leave at the south terminal. you have to consider the time for the bus transfer there as well. most other carriers like jazz, westjet, cma leave from the domestic terminal at the international airport though.
i would book the later flight and try to get onto the earlier if you have enough time. my only experience is with cma - and they do it as long as there is space. so perhaps try to avoid the friday (people who commute to vancouver for work and fly back north on friday...) if you can?
