Not that its relavent to the OP or PMM's very clear response but if you you are travelling to Halifax to 'land' before Sept 4th on Air Canada you have to 'land' in St Johns as that is first entry to Canada. After Sept 4th (When the flight no longer stops in St Johns) or if travelling on another airline direct to Halifax (e.g. Zoom) you 'land' in Halifax as that is your point of entry.
I suspect Butch knew all this but was just on a wind up! ;) |

Re: Landing (PR Visas) - How long does it take?
Thanks. I just assumed that the landing process was carried out at your first point of arrival, as it is on arrival to the UK from outwith the EC. In the UK, your bags may be checked onwards to a domestic airport but you personally clear Customs/Immigration at the initial point of arrival.
As for how long it takes to "land" I suppose it just depends on the time of day and how many planes have landed just before your one. Found an earlier thread from Bleech who took 3 hours to go through the process at Vancouver. Might just book flights leaving plenty of time and if we get processed quicker then we can try and get on an earlier connecting flight. Cheers, Roy |

You're on the right track, Glenlivet. :)
As per what Bleech was saying, hopefully your flight will arrive before another international flight needs to clear Customs. Oggy |
