Default Kitec plumbing?

We moved into our house 2 years ago. We have had a few leaks in the plumbing system and have now discovered the system we have uses Kitec. We know that a class action was settled for this last year but does anyone have of claiming?
It is likely to cost approx $20,000 to replace but it seems like claims are only made on a piecemeal basis i.e. as each leak appears.
Kitec was widely used in houses that were built approx 10-15 years ago.
Any advice would be great - thanks!

We have it in our place which is in that age range. Fingers crossed, none of it has leaked yet but it is a concern. I believe we only have it for hot water radiation not general water supply plumbing.

I did do a bit of research on the class action suits a year or two ago but I think the deadline to be part of that has long since passed. If you find out anything differently then please let me know!

You can still claim.

In all of the provinces and territories of Canada:

The Ontario Superior Court of Justice has certified a Canadian National Class for settlement purposes only as follows:

All Persons that own, have owned, lease, or have leased, and all those who have or may pursue claims through or in the name or right of those who own or have owned or lease or have leased, buildings, homes, residences, or any other structures located in Canada, excluding only the members of the Quebec Class, that contain or have ever contained Kitec Systems manufactured and/or sold by the IPEX Defendants.

For purposes of this definition, individuals and entities shall include any and all of the individuals’ or entities’ spouses, joint owners, heirs, executors, administrators, insurers, mortgagees, tenants, creditors, lenders, predecessors, successors, subrogees, assignees, subsequent owners or occupants, trusts and trustees, attorneys, agents, and assigns and all persons who are entitled to assert a claim on behalf thereof.

You must complete and submit a Claim Form by January 9, 2020
, in order to be eligible for recovery under the Settlement.

I have registered a claim and will let you know. Claims in Canada are valid until 2020 as far as I understand.
I'm wondering if this is something the property inspection should have picked up though?
