Hi There I am a recently qualified Occupational Therapist waiting for my provisional licence to come through prior to sitting the National exam in July. Does anyone know of any OT vacancies within the Simcoe area? ....I have 19 years experience of working as a senior support worker in Mental Health and Learning disabilities prior to qualification....any advise suggestions would greatly be appreciated.

You could try the Royal Victoria Hospital, they have a very good rehab department. (I worked there for a number of years) Also, there are several private facilities in the area.

Try the OHA website for hospital vacancies and the CAOT and OSOT websites for career listings. CCAC are always looking for healthcare professionals to be case managers - it's non-clinical work, fast and furious and very bureaucratic, but it may be a foothold in the door.

Thanks Backdoor ..I have already submitted my resume to there and other hospitals in the region...my neighbour works there as well and is keeping an eye out as only a percentage of the jobs are advertised externally!

Thanks Northern lass I have looked at that job but unfortunatley it is for a registered nurse..I have joined workopolis and submittede a resume to my profile......it seems that here only a percentage of the jobs get advertised and a lot of job offers are done through networking which I am working on
