Default job prospects in nova scotia - truro area

good evening all
i was wondering if anyone could advise us on the job front in and around Truro.
we are hoping to immigrate there shortly (6mths max) and whilst i have no problems as a nurse and have made contact with local hospital, husband is an area sales rep in construction products,- sand, concrete, bricks etc and worried about finding work. he has worked in sales for over 8 yrs and worked his way up to area sales manager and although he has primarily worked in construction products has done initial sales stint in cars dealing etc.
hes willing to try anything.
any contacts or how to seek for a job welcome.

also is it likely he could be offered a job whilst here in uk or more likely nothing until we are actually there?
thanks
jenny

He will find employers very welcoming and should be able to find something whilst there. Contact the RDA [email protected] and don't forget to mention who pointed you that way.

Hi

I am not too sure about the area of work you are referring to in terms of opportunities, but to be honest I think it is much more likely that you will pick up the contacts/job opportunities once you are actually there and can pound the streets with resume in hand etc

We are in completely different lines of work but found that the opportunities in Truro whilst there, are quite limited, so feel it is more likely we will end up nearer Halifax for work. This could be completely different for you

Good luck
