I am currently with Bell as part of a package, cable, landline, internet etc.
I seem to recall when I first set the account up that I either had a choice between Bell or Alliant. Ive since heard that there are a few more providers out there offering a "better " service.
Can anybody substantiate this or offer any advice?
Many thanks.

Bell and Aliant are the same thing - Bell Aliant. Rogers is the other half of the national duopoly. Bell has the advantage of fibre to the the home. Worthwhile periodically ringing bell and renegotiating your package. Usually results in a better deal.

We use Netfox, and my MIL uses them for both internet and digital landline. I have found them to be excellent and well priced. I have no idea if they operate outside the immediate Halifax area.
