Insurance
Hi!
Does anyone know what kind of medical insurance we need to get (and where to get it) for our family; we're going over on a student visa for 12 months?
Thanks!

If you are going to another province, check out their medical plan details. A Google.ca search should deliver some results. The institution you are studying with might also be able to direct you.

Re: Insurance
In BC you can qualify for the Medical Services plan once you have fulfilled the residency requirement, balance of the month you arrive in plus 2 months. So if you arrive on the last day of the month, only two month wait. Good idea to have a policy in place to cover the waiting period.

they're fine, although you can apparently do better if you shop around. A forum search will probably throw up some useful info.
