Having made the provisional decision to emmigrate my wife and I submitted our paperwork 2yrs+ ago. We had the advantage of living in Alberta for a couple of years prior to making the decision, but are now looking to re-locate to Vancouver / Vancouver Island having spent time looking around last year.
With two young kids (4 & 1), we are looking for a little bit more meaning to life and quality family time.

We made the move from Bristol to Van Island 2yrs ago last week..........good luck, the views here are 'gert lush'

Hi and welcome. We live on Vancouver Island and absolutely love it! We definitely feel we have a better quality of life and more family time so if those are what you are looking for I am sure you will find it here. Good luck and best wishes!

Just got back from a week in Vancouver and on the Island. Had a great time. Sure is pretty on the coast there. As for quality of life, if you have to commute then I can imagine Vancouver could be nasty, nasty. Took us forever to get around, and it was never peak times. Just something to consider since you mentioned quality of life !
