Discussing the weather (preferably, complaining) = Brits' favourite past time

I don't have to answer this question cos I already admitted I like whining

Shame its not an Olympic sport as the Brits would win all 3 medals

Vancouver still beats most places in the UK for hours of sunshine though.

I guess we should expect an influx of Mancunians emigrating to Vancouver then

My Canadian passport might say otherwise but yes I can moan with the best of them just not about the weather, price of houses, drive to work or the lack and availability of Ribena, squash, Walkers crisps or the price of cheese

Not for long, no, but it's about to change soon. Can the weather conversations actually be worse in Canada than in the UK? I must admit that this obsession with it here is one thing I never completely understood.

Everyone talks about the weather all the time everywhere. It's certainly not unique to brits.

Unfortunately it's as bad here.

Considering that in some places there is a 100 + difference in temps.
Summer +40C and winter minus 40C. Thats a shock to anyone who isnt used to those temps.
Or for those who prefer fahrenheit 104F to minus 40F. Thats some change.
Next thing ya know somebody will be complaining about how shite Tim Hortons coffee is or god forbid the price of cheese.

I'm talking about the locals, news reporters, visitors...
