If by 'softie' you mean: "Rabid, sociopathic mysanthrope with deluded yearnings for absolute power." then yes, you are sooooo right. ;)

You haven't got time to chat steve, you have to find the information on Ottawanian population as regards to other Canadian cities and how many YOW aircraft movements were long-haul.

Mmm - Long movements. Is this thread about the need for a high fibre diet as well?

Steve_P: I'm betting my demons can take your demons any day.........hold on, yup, there you go. Mine are parading around the podium, stomping on top of yours. Isn't life in your own sad world so much fun.

Demons? I don't need no stinking demons. I chased them out years ago when they tried to take over. There's just me and that's the way it should be.

Or does it equate with population size, Steve?

Humble apologies for missing this the first time around. :o:p

Population 2006

Toronto: 2,503,281, Greater Toronto Area: 5,555,912
Vancouver: 578,041, Metropolitan Area: 2,116,581
Montreal: 1,620,693, Metropolitan Area: 3,635,571
Calgary: 988,193, Metropolitan Area: 1,079,310
Ottawa: 812,129, Metropolitan Area: 1,130,761

So it could be size but I'm guessing it's just not that popular a destination.;)

Realistically the airport itself is not big enough to handle much more than it already does and I'm not sure it could ever compete with Montreal or Toronto they've both been established far to long to compete with them.

If it's not a popular destination that's good with me, don't want too many immigrants where I'm going to be.
Well if they put in another airport it better not be where I intend to live, I'll have enough on my plate with the landfill a few miles away.
