Thats the thing, hardwood floors-drip humidifier-cranked up. Still get a shock from TV (ok i should use the remote), Wall Switches, Lap Top, Dog, even the Wife (but at least relations go with a bang )

Get a humidity meter to see what your R.H is , and a seperate cool mist humidifier to boost it up. Could be the furnace humidifier has gone tits up...They seem to have somewhat limited lifespans.

Then just dont go anywhere...the worst jolts I find come getting into and out of the car Thankfully its not been a problem so far this year in our Ontario non winter.

If the windows are steaming up though extra humidity probably wont help...time to switch to the cotton wardrobe

Thanks for the advice mate, I will definitely look into the meter and cool mist.

We have fireworks in the bedroom too - sadly it's just the acrylic blanket, but it's quite a show in the dark
