The costs for moving across the Atlantic are pretty well discussed, but anyone got any idea how much it would cost to ship house contents from Alberta to Ontario?

I know I'm being a lazy b******d, but it's almost midnight out here in the arse end of the rockies and not many shipping firms are still awake.

I got a quote from the Fraser Valley where I am to Bracebridge, Ont for just under $4,000 plus insurance and "incidentals", which as we all know in Canada means another God knows what in hidden costs.

I've heard similar amounts mentioned as the general cost of moving from West to East. We will hopefully be getting some quotes soon for Calgary to Halifax so I'll pass on the info. - it's just a matter of working down that 'to do' list!
