How many immigrated without visiting first?

I did come and visit for 48hrs for an interview, does that count?
Head hunted for the job, contacted out of the blue. The chance came along and I grabbed it. No property or ties to the Uk other than my immediate family, not married back then so I figured I might as well give it a go.
I hadnt even considered leaving the UK, let alone thought about reccies etc. but you dont look a gift horse in the mouth do you.

Mr L2S had been here on an under-grad exchange in 2000 to UBC and always wanted to come back.
I was up for a change. Never had been to Vancouver before, but any city where you have the slopes and the water on your doorstep is my kind of city. And it is!
We came on 1 year BUNAC WP. Other than continuing to rent the house out (which I had had to do to do my MSc) we had no real ties in the UK. No kids. No so real gamble for us.
Got accepted on to BC PNP so just waiting for PR now.

We'd both been on a couple of holidays to Canada, but would never have considered the move if it hadn't been for spending a year here on BUNAC working holiday visas. Applied for PR about 10mths after arriving, then had a panic stricken time getting LMO's and work permits so we didn't have to leave.... all worked out in the end.
