Default Housing costs - help please

Hi, we are moving to London Ontario in March.

We are getting really confused by the different types of bills involved with renting, can someone tell us what we will be needing to pay on top of our rent, we are not looking at an inclusive house.

We have seen utilities hydro, Water, heat, trash, hot water heater rental?

Please can some one give us an idea of what these bills can be for 3-4 bed town or detached house, we are trying to work out whether the 'inclusive' deals are the way to go or not.

I know each house is different but we are really just trying to get an idea so we get budget more accurately.

Many thanks

Property tax will be paid by the landlord that covers the same as council tax stuff like garbage, police etc.gas and electric will be a little lower than in the UK,tv and phone more money!Water tank rental is around $15 -$30 a month
Petrol/gas is $1.20 a litre today, car insurance also not cheap

In an 'inclusive' deal, if the Landlord is paying the utilities then he will make sure he adds more than enough onto the rent to cover the maximum possible utility usage plus a bit - he would be crazy not to. If you pay your own utilities you at least have the option to turn things off or down and you get the benefit of the savings. The bills in a mid townhouse will be less than in a detached, but I can't give you any specific numbers even though I see a lot of utility bills - some people run their AC at full blast all summer and heat their homes to t shirt and shorts temps in the winter and others don't. Some houses are way better insulated than others.

We found all of our bills to be higher here, we lived in a townhouse for a bit. However our bills were still lower than our neighbours for some reason. Our hydro and water usually leveled out around $130 a month, gas heat around $90. For an idea on phones, tv etc. look at Rogers.com and bell.ca, there are other ways and means but that'll give you an idea and probably the highest price you're looking at. Where are you looking at? If you fancy meeting up, let us know.
