It is our lucky day! Offer made today by the first couple who viewed our house and accepted it after meeting halfway on their initial offer!
We have agreed the sale in principle, of course subject to contract.
We are extremely delighted with way things happening in selling our house. We hope that there will be no hiccups and that the whole process will be completed in less than 10 weeks.
We have friends who moved to Canada and their property has been on the market for even longer than a year and yet it has not been sold.
It has been fast and furious!

Our neighbours were quite astonished as there is now a signboard outside our house from the EA that says "sold". They have not even seen a "for sale" signboard before today. The EA has confirmed that that's the quickest deal they have in months
. Still I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it'll go smoothly till completion date

Good Luck.
Sounds like yours is going alot smoother than ours last year.... we ended up having to drop the price by about £15k... then the "quick sale" cash buyer that we sold the place to, decided she wanted to take her sweet time and change her mind about the completion date..... we ended up living out of a suitcase for a couple of months, having left jobs, still having to pay a mortgage... lucky really she was buying the furniture too.

We're still keeping our fingers crossed and hoping that it will go smoothly as plan.

Buyers have re-negotiated their offer after some recommendations with the surveyor. They have reduced their offer by 2k and we said we'll meet halfway and offered 1k reduction. We will know when the EA will get back to us.

We seem destined to do things in sync - maybe it is your fault that we too have had exactly the same thing happen to us today but I told them to shove it (and not politely), they already bought at absolute rock bottom and there is no way on this earth I'm knocking another penny off - we too will hear tomorrow because I've already told the estate agent that I'll pull the sold sign off and put it up with someone else if I don't hear by lunch time.

What a lovely day
We finally exchanged contracts today and agreed the completion date
We are now just waiting for our letter or notification from CIC London. Hopefully not long from now. Waiting, waiting, and waiting grrrrrrr. Just need a little bit patient I guess

Great news DesertFox - we're waiting to exchange ourselves - and the wait is sooo frustrating - hopefully good news for us this week too!
